Our minds and bodies are wonderful machines that can do so much more when we allow them to soar. Too many of us wait all our lives for SOMETHING to motivate us, when all our power lies at our very own fingertips, and can be generated by perhaps some direction or encouragement from others, and then followed by our own desire to excel. Detroit Lions being a perfect example under their new leadership.

Part of the beauty of sport is that the design allows for a pretty binary measurement, a W or an L. I appreciate how you wove a narrative to build a blueprint to set folks up to recognize more W’s in their lives.

Nice Post! There is a line in the movie "Equalizer" that Denzel Washington says to a co-worker...whom he is trying to help lose weight. He says to him; "Focus on PROGRESS, not Perfection" :-)

Right on the money! Equalizer is a great film - anything with Denzel is a must-see in my book

It is amazing when you just stop and think about life and adversity, positive thinking and courage can be applied to every situation in our lives. Your thinking is amazing to be able to apply a football strategy or positive coaching to medicine and the many challenges in that field. Go and chew some kneecaps!!!!

Awesome blog! Even though I'm a Packers fan, too, I'm glad to see this great coach with the Lions' organization and to see their improvement as a team. Just goes to show that you CAN apply these lessons to your own life and make changes to your own health and situation. Be brave to be BOLD! Love it!
